A Paper Girl

I'm not a big fan of John Green because TFIOS kinda put off the feeling. But I heard that Paper Towns is actually really good.

And yes, the movie is better that I thought. Better than TFIOS, even.

It's a cliche movie about teens' love, yes. That's why I wrote 'typical' for the caption at my Path. Because it is, typical. Guess it's a signature 'look' of John Green.

But I read the comments about the movie; and someone said that "Paper Towns isn't as deep or moving as it wants to be, yet it's still earnest, well-acted, and thoughtful enough to earn a place in the hearts of teen filmgoers of all ages" Well, couldn't agree more.

So I took a glimpse at the book yesterday and in my opinion Natt Wolf is potraying Quentin almost perfectly. On the other hand, Cara as Margo is not as 'wild' as I'd expected before. But she, too, potraying the 'paper girl' as she said in the movie. 

Oh, and don't even make me start with Q's friends; Ben and Radar! I'm 100% approve Austin Abrams made a role as Ben. God he's so hilarious! And he's sooooo cute with that messy browndie (brown-blonde) hair! And also please take a note how Justice brings out the taciturn yet sincere personality of Radar to almost - again - perfect level.

Austin Abrams is just SO CUTE. Sorry.

I have to say I'm pleased with the casts.

Now back to the plot, what I got from the movie is the size of your comfort zone is may not as big as the world outside, but if that small size can bring you the happiness; why not?

I don't really like Margo's character. It's good that she wants to be independent, to look outside and searching for the real her. But in my eyes, she looks like a girl who just hit the puberty button and brings out the recklessness to the whole new level.
